Richard Brodzeller graduated from Marquette University's College of Journalism in 1970 and began his professional career in 1971 as a staff photographer at the Milwaukee Journal and Milwaukee Sentinel shooting a variety of assignments that included news, sports, feature, fashion, food, and architectural interiors. Brodzeller resigned his newspaper position in 1995 to start Richard Brodzeller Photography continuing  publication work in addition to capabilities brochures, corporate, business and theatrical portraits, and event coverage. 

His current client list includes:

  • The Milwaukee Ballet Company
  • The Florentine Opera Company
  • WE Energies
  • M&I Bank
  • Bank One
  • and several advertising and public relations agencies. 

Brodzeller developed a strong interest in dance and theater from his work for the Milwaukee Ballet Company from 1981 to date, The Florentine Opera from 1995 to date, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra from 1982 to date. Brodzeller continues to offer clients the option of three film formats: 4X5, medium format, and 35mm, in house processing or high end digital capture on a 35 mm platform Canon digital system.
